Mini Axing Coupe And Roadster To Focus On Higher Volume Models
Many were left scratching their heads and wondering "why?" Was there really a need for either one? The answer turned out to be no, not really. Mini - the next Honda. Next they will rename it "British Leyland". Maybe they should launch a near-luxury nameplate called Rover that can compete with Acura.

On the other hand the Mini Superlegerrera is the ticket to fill both of those and more. I really hope they make that car, a nice small hybrid power train with a turbo 3 out of the i8 would work perfect. If it can go say 10-15 miles on elec while in town that would be all you need really and use the turbo motor on the trip through the hills home.

If Mini would only build the Superlegerrera. It is still up in the air if Mini will build it. The coupe and roadster were a flop because they were not different enough from the 3dr Mini and offered both less luggage and interior room. Also they did not really perform all that differently to 3dr hardtop.
