SPIED: Jaguar's Top Of The Food Chain 2016 F-Type SVR Caught In The Wild

This is our first look at the new range-topping Jaguar F-type SVR - a hero roadster and coupe duo being readied to crown the fast-growing (and downright fast) F-type sports car family.

It is understood to be an early engineering mule to test the aero and engineering tweaks under development for the quickest F-type yet. It comes as Jaguar expands the F-type range with 4x4 AWD models and a manual transmission, confirmed at this month's LA Auto Show.

Hopefully they don't spoil the clean lines with a tacky add on spoiler… either let is rise from the trunk lid or integrate it like the E46 CSL M3...

You already to have to spend $125K to get an F Type that is close in performance to a Corvette which costs about half as much and is a superior handler. Will this be as good as a Corvette?

The Corvette and 911 exceed the best F Type for less money.

Jaguar continues to be the wannabe it always has been.
