Mercedes to outperform BMW?

Merck Finck says the 3% increase at DaimlerChrysler's (DCX) Mercedes Car Group and the 10% decline at BMW (BMW.XE) in unit sales figures on the year, confirm brokerage's expectation that for the remainder of '06 and most of '07, Mercedes will outperform BMW. Says small car brands Smart and Mini both saw declines. BMW trades +0.2% at EUR39.05; DaimlerChrysler +0.1% at EUR40.26.

Sorry guys, I know you are sad, But do not worry. Mercedes Will continue being a Luxury car and BMW an Sport one and most of the people prefer Sports. My favorite is Merc but most of the time is for security and Luxury. That means that they will continue selling cars But trust me: the The 3 series coupe will not help due is a coupe and most of the buyers prefer sedan, also the coupe looks fine but is not an M3, also expensive if you compare the Japanese alternatives. Related with X5 looks fine inside but outside looks almost the same and that means that most of the previous owner will not feel so willing to abandon the old X5.
