AWESOME or AWFUL? Is This Porsche 918's UNIQUE Color EXACTLY What This Vehicle Needs Or Is It HURTING Your Eyes?
A particularly well-known car collector based in New Jersey has a penchant for adding the latest and greatest luxury vehicles and supercars to his ever changing variety of autos. He's worked with automakers to literally create his own paint and has no problem making the vehicles suit him and his particular taste.

We toast to that!

However, there is an elephant in the room. Sometimes his choices are a bit, well, dicey. Perhaps I am a bit more conservative with my taste but that's why we like to ask YOU, the AutoSpies faithful, what YOU think.

This very fortunate collector's latest all-new supercar has arrived. It's the mind-bending Porsche 918 Spyder. We should have known he was preparing to take delivery of some hardcore metal as he started selling off chunks of his collection in 2013 and 2014.

This follows another one of his latest acquisitions — a VERY unique GREEN McLaren P1.

And, it appears he has chosen to go GREEN again! This time though it's a neon green known to Porsche as Acid Green.

So, what say YOU? Is this Acid Green 918 AWESOME or AWFUL?

Love the car. Don't care for the color.

Agreed.

Seinfeld's example in dark blue was quite nice as well as the black 918 that made its way to SEMA at the HRE booth.

The PCNA car in pearl white making its rounds was quite stunning as well. BUT, if you must go bold Acid Green definitely does the trick.

Ugly car and ugly color. I understand that Porsche THINKS every one of its products must be a 911 clone, but the 918 looks too much like a JC Whitney body kit for a Type 1 Beetle. Of the contemporary Porsches, I much prefer the look of the Cayman.

Then again, I'd rather play in a 944S or a 914-6 than any of Porsche's current crop.

Competent cars--yes--just not my style.
