Secret Lexus LF-A Workshop Now Relegated To Building Fuel Cell Mirai?
Toyota Motor Corp. has struggled to fill the void at the secretive workshop in Japan where the Lexus LFA was assembled ever since the last $375,000 sports car rolled off a line in December 2012.

Now, it finally has landed a new product, one just as niche and high profile: Toyota’s new Mirai hydrogen fuel cell sedan.

makes sense to me. the Mirai is not intended to be a mass selling product so this arrangement is a perfect use of current resources.

Toyota/Lexus seems to have made some questionable decisions. The LF-A was one of them: a car with a price tag that's usually seen only in the exotics' showrooms, and styling that was, to put it kindly, polarizing, all from a brand known for it's upper-middle class cars. And now, they're talking about this car, which takes a Pontiac Aztec look handsome by comparison.

Something's going on at Lexus, but it doesn't look good.

Of course Lexus would not assign them to another sports car model. Toyota/Lexus are not serious about sports cars, they have no passion for it. If the bean counter says they need one they will try to do one, otherwise they could care less about performance cars. Not in their blood like almost every German and American manufacturer and many other European manufacturers for that matter.

Case in point the vile-handling, deeply compromised GT86.
