SPIED! It DOES Exist! Land Rover ACTIVELY Testing A Range Rover Evoque CONVERTIBLE!
Once and a while we come across sport-utility vehicle convertibles. Perhaps I am wrong, but I reckon that Audi showed off the Cross Cabriolet Quattro in 2007 then shortly after the Nissan Murano Convertible came to exist as a pseudo luxury vehicle.

For such a niche product, the top decision-makers at an automaker have to feel pretty ballsy to build something like this. Well, it appears the latest convertible SUV to become a reality will be the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.

We last saw it at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show where it was debuted, and little information has been made public. In 2013 some chatter surfaced about the British marque being interested in making it a production variant, but the lips have been sealed since.

It appears that the whole plot has been foiled though as a reader from Autocar snapped a fantastic image of the all-new Evoque Convertible undergoing testing. Although it's slathered in camouflage, it's clear as day that there is a soft top.

Expect to see it in production form at one of the MAJOR auto shows soon.

Oh c'mon Land Rover! You are better than this. I believe Nissan tried this dumb-ass idea with disastrous results. The Murano CrossCabriolet looked like shit and sold even worse!

I guess some people like to drop the top while they are waiting for the tow truck. Great idea Range Rover!

So true! Heaven forbid dealing with the quality glitches at JLR should be priority #1. Nice to know Tata is on top of things.
