SPIED: BEST Spy Shots Of The All-New BMW 7-Series Snapped HERE! Did BMW BLOW A Chance To DESTROY The S-Class?
While I am sure some of you are reading the headline and saying "Wow, that's a lot of hyperbole," hear me out.

From a styling perspective, the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is a bit old man-ish, if I am honest. Its exterior is elegant and refined, but its interior is snoozefest with its switchgear and HUGE dual screen display for the instrument cluster and infotainment. It's a nice place to be and features remarkable build quality, sure, but the execution from a design standpoint is uninspired.

This left a HUGE gap for BMW to swoop in and wow us with the likes of design inspired by the CS Concept and Future Luxury Concept.

IF you were expecting a large luxury sedan design revolution hiding under all the heavy cladding seen on BMW 7-Series testers, be prepared for a let down. That's because the development car shed its heavy camouflage and it looks VERY similar to what's currently on the road.

My guess is that folks will be hard pressed to tell any differences between the outgoing model and this new model. Seriously, BMW, you couldn't take a bigger risk?

Not an S class killer but may be an A8 alternative.

Neither Mercedes or BMW give the class trailing A8 any thought. The S Class is for rich, old, fat men past 55 whereas the 7 Series is for rich, fit, men around 40.

40 year olds cannot afford cars like this. They borrow money for cars like this.

The difference between this "new" 7-series and the current version is what? S-Class Killer? More like same exact car as the current generation with sales that don't even register on the scale compared to the S-class.

That's funny coming from the guy whose comparable car (Audi A8) only sells a fraction of the 7.

the 7 series always sells better than the a8. i have friends who have the a8 and swear by them, but i think the s class will always be number 1, followed by the 7 series. the A8 is a pretty boring exterior, but solid interior.
id always choose those 3 in that order, then the xj8 and ls460.
unless i were buying, then it would have to be ls460 only and leave the pricey german cars alone.

The 7er has always been irrelevant even for BMW, and they know that.

This is the latest in a series of less than stellar large sedans from BMW. Perhaps they should invite design input from the west coast. Every time I see the current car in person, I'm embarrassed for the company. It looks like a model without makeup, maybe worse.
