SPIED On The STREET! FIRST Real-Life Pics Of The 2015 Nissan Murano On The Road
Back at the 2014 New York Auto Show, you may remember that the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano made its global debut. Clearly influenced by the 2014 Detroit Auto Show's Sport Sedan Concept, some of the very interesting and controversial design cues were passed on into this production form Murano.
We loved it.

Commenters here on AutoSpies? Not so much. While the consensus seemed to agree its interior was visually appealing, people were not exactly sold on the exterior.
Perhaps it was the harsh lighting and auto show environment? Let's find out.
Agent 001 recently was up in NoCal with Nissan as he had the chance to drive the 2015 Nissan Murano. Driving impressions are on hold until December 8, but that doesn't mean we can't show you ALL the images we want to.
In true AutoSpies form, 001 snapped the car INSIDE and OUT despite pouring rain.
To get merely a taste of our full gallery, scope out the FIRST shots, below!

Lexus NX and this SUV look like they are the most beautiful luxury SUVs on the market right now.

It's busy for the sake of being busy looking. Styled by Renault? It gives the impression of being stylish without the substance to back it up.

Busy, ornate, and overly stylized. Different for the sake of different.

The profile looks really good, but the details are overwhelming like that abstract artist that just throws paint around on a canvas and calls it art. I think I'd get vertigo if I looked at it too long..or I'd see a dinosaur hidden in the design (will see who gets that).
And after seeing this in person at the auto show recently, the interior, while looking nice, is beyond cheap-feeling.

The original Murano had an impact because of its style and this one is trying hard to make a similar impact. This time around you do need to bring more (and it does) to make the same kind of impact.

I like it. It is bold and futuristic, but it isn't excessive like some of those crazy Lexus concepts. Remember the Maxima design they have been teasing us with? I think this would look excellent on that car.

The Maxima design you reference is the Sport Sedan Concept.
