Honda Recalls 3 Million More Cars For Substandard Airbags
Honda Motor Co., the biggest customer of airbag maker Takata Corp., said about 3 million more of its vehicles will need to be fixed in the U.S. after it widened a regional repair campaign to the entire country.

The carmaker will add the vehicles to existing safety improvement campaigns that have been focused on high-humidity regions, Ben Nakamura, a spokesman for Honda, said by phone. The company had earlier disclosed the decision during a U.S. congressional hearing this week without saying how many cars would be affected.

Geez this is getting pretty big.

It took many years for this problem, to say nothing of its scope, to come to light like this and have remedial action taken. I wonder if other issues of this nature are lurking in millions of vehicles out there today. Hopefully not but who knows (well, maybe someone does actually, so far that's been the case).
