SPIED + RENDERED SPECULATION: All-New Shots Snapped Of The Next-Gen Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Personally speaking, one car I've always had an affinity for is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It's always been practical, reasonably spacious and provided a comfortable ride that's become slightly sportier over the years for those out there wanting a bit more communication.

It's a nice sedan that's been doing quite well in the sales department over the years, but the current-gen product is starting to wear out its welcome. It's that time of the product lifecycle again.

Although it's been spotted previously, the all-new E-Class has been seen sporting a modified C-Class's body. Now though it appears the vehicle is wearing its own sheetmetal though it's heavily camouflaged head-to-toe.

It appears that the vehicle is equipped with minimal body cladding on the hood but that's about it. From what we can see it's clear the auto will feature the design language of currently existing Mercedes products. THINK: prominent front grille flanked by two sweeping headlights.

Around the back end the vehicle appears much more swoopy than designed with hard edges. If you ask me, it seems like the overall appearance is far more elegant and S-Class-like than the E-Class days of yore where it looking like it was suffering from a severe case of middle child syndrome — it looked unique, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

In addition, our friends from Auto Bild gave it the 'ol college try and rendered it. While it's still very early in development and largely indistinguishable at this stage, it's interesting to see what may become the all-new Mercedes E-Class.

It's easy to tell what is will look like - it will look like a slightly larger C class or slightly smaller S class

I hope to hell it's not that ugly.

Looks like the roofline is skipping back a generation, which is a good thing. The current roofline is too angular for the lineup. The taillights in the rendering should never see the light of day.

Yeah those are a bit weirdly shaped. The last two E classes looked a bit more unique than the C/E, especially the pre facelift current gen but the next will likely be more conforming.

I fear though that they may be accurate given Mercedes' love of droopy butts and strange tail lights.

Front bumper looks like a bmw 3 series and the rear bumper looks like the front bumper

No idea if this is accurate, however this speculation successfully advances the new S and C, a great improvement over the current gen E which has dopey, out of nowhere, roofline and throwback edging.

Looks like a BMW 6 series donated its tail lights.

The Asian influence is clearly aimed at Chinese tastes.

-1 Matt, Chinese buy German cars because they don't want Asian influence.
