Acura Issues Stop Sale Order For Brand Saving TLX

Acura Issues Stop Sale Order For Brand Saving TLX
It’s still considered the current star of Acura’s lineup, but now’s there a bit of a snag. The new 2015 TLX sport sedan, of which almost 5,000 units were sold last October, has just been hit with a stop-sale order. The problem? Its nine-speed automatic transmission. Acura has already informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the recall, which affects about 9,500 cars powered by the V6. Specifically, the issue occurs when the transmission indicator is displaying "Park" when the transmission really isn’t in park.

Not necessarily ugly, but the dashboard doesn't scream luxury to me. Looks more at home in a Ford or Nissan.

This is just part of the new bullet proof Japanese "reliability". LoL! I am telling you, they are not as good as they used to.

They might not have ever been that good. But simply new how to hide the defects better than anyone else.

Any truth the rumor that is is the new corporate slogan? "Honda/Acura...the Japanese 'old GM'...incompetent and damn proud of it!"

Well hopefully Acura can resolve this quickly. A larger chunk of sales volume is from the 2.4L in either case.

Regarding reliability, Hondas and Acuras have proven to be absolutely trouble free for myself and anyone I know who has owned them. Same with Nissan. Not so much for Lexus.
