More Pictures Of the 2015 Audi Q7 Leak
Set for UK sale from mid-2015, Ingolstadt’s flagship SUV boasts an evolutionary appearance with a bold new single-frame grille similar in design to that recently brought to the facelifted Q3, along with more defined wheel arches, tauter surfacing treatment, a more prominent shoulder and numerous crease lines within the flanks to help reduce its visual bulk.

The second-generation Q7 is based on a heavily modified version of Audi’s MLB platform that uses a combination of hot-formed high strength steel, aluminium and carbonfibre.

The exotic mixture of construction materials sees the new seven-seat SUV shed 325kg over the existing first-generation Q7, which has been in production since 2005.

The same platform is also planned to underpin successors to the second-generation Volkswagen Touareg, second-generation Porsche Cayenne, upcoming Bentley Falcon and, possibly, a production version of the Lamborghini Urus.

The new Audi Q7 will continue to offer seating for up to seven occupants, although the interior design has been significantly altered. Included is a clean looking dashboard with minimal switchgear and a free-standing infotainment monitor, a digital instrument binnacle similar to that unveiled on the latest TT and a prominent centre console with a newly designed MMI controller and gear lever.

These pictures make the vehicle look so much different. In particular, that front view along with the side view of the car actually being driven on the road.

The lighter interior pictures also show off the impressive design, ergonomics and quality materials.

Many are underestimating how this will drive. The car has lost over 700 pounds and as a result fuel efficiency has been improved remarkably. The new MLB platform has proven it delivers much better driving dynamics.

I'm sorry but this is a step back for Audi. The first gen/current Q7 looks 10 times better than this new one and also looked sleeker than the 1st Generation GL.

This one looks as if it's lost any hope at having balls and practically has the ride height of a minivan. Not to mention it now looks related to the Mitsubishi SUV with that redesigned grill.

I expected better...carry on as you were GL, nothing to see here.

Old saying " You can always tell a German; you just can't tell them much!" Sorry GL but like the "new" Touareg, warmed over ML (GLE?) the German SUVs are looking dated out of the box. The dash on this Q7 looks like something out of a mid 90s Buick Roadmaster with an iPad glued to the top. Tilt!!

None of these photos make the car look any better, in fact, most of them are worse than the ones already shown in the other article.

The interior is hands-down the worst interior design of any Audi, let alone the competition.

They dropped the ball on this one, and I hate to say this, but the previous generation looked much better, and it wasn't a looker to start with.

Audi is really delivering on that new "differentiated, aggressive" design, can't wait for the new A4, if this is now looking so similar to the Touareg, then I imagine the new aggressive design for the A4 will look more like the Jetta, the car on which it's based. Shame.

It looks a bit better with the higher quality photos but it's looking a bit tame. Pretty impressive tech though.

Is it me or do these pictures, if not distorted, make the new Q7 appears more like a big station wagon? Personally, I like station wagons and minivans (the small minivans, not the current ones) so I'm not bothered by this Q7 but I don't think the market likes station wagon over CUV/SUV.

The ML/GL and X5 just saw the new Q7 come out of the dressing room, and are now looking away in embarrassment.

Congratulations to Audi for making this car appear more like it's a direct competitor to the MDX and QX60 than the GL. Not a good thing. Seriously, if I had 80 large sitting in my pocket, there's NO WAY I would even consider it going to something that looks like this. There's no presence. There's no design inspiration. It only looks interesting now because it's brand new. Two months into production and it'll be forgotten, no matter how well it'll claim to drive. And can't Audi create more interesting wheels? I think I've seen these same wheels or very iterations of them on every model from the A3 up to the A8.

The double-ripple wheel arches are laughable. The lower-side-door trim is straight from a 2nd generation RAV4. The front permanent window portions belong on a Civic. The touch pad looks sadly misappointed. The full-vent-look of the dash is horrible. The "3rd row" of seats look uninhabitable.

Instead of "bold and edgy" we get "bumpy and blah". Interior is by far the best part of this wagon. Perhaps it will look better in the "family trickster, or Pacifica" packages.

lol. Great innovative design. looks almost like a twin to the Mercedes GLK. I am surprised that Audi didnt improve on the design. It is bery bland with no sense of style

LOL This car looks just so bad. It looks like a poor man's Lexus GX. In fact, people who can't even afford a Lexus buys a trash like Audi.

Lexus LX and Cadillac Escalade, those are the most luxurious, and the greatest full size luxury SUVs on the market.

This thing is just a pure trash.

And most of BMW cars look boring, too. I can see the end of the Euro junk is near.

Finally Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, Cadillac and Lincoln shall reign as the most luxurious auto brands in the entire planet.

Many people are forgetting that this car is way lighter (by 716 pounds), way more fuel efficient (by 26%) and loaded with way more technology and safety systems than the current version.

This new Q7 will drive a lot better than the current bloated version due to the huge weight savings and new MLB platform. The interior is once again top notch.

Overall, Audi has done a terrific job when looking at the new Q7 as a whole.

People will overlook the styling and this will sell very well considering the current version is still notching sales gains.

My guess is they made this Q7 look "downgraded" in order to make the upcoming Q9 look bigger and more luxurious. I'm sure the new design language will be used on the Q9 as well.

There's only so many ways to disguise a box! Put a lot of taper or rounding on it and it's not good for it's box job, even if it looks great! I agree though, the new Q7 is booorrrring!
