RENDERED SPECULATION: Here Ye! Here Ye! Chevrolet Camaro Fans, THIS Is The BEST Render Of The Next-Gen Camaro Yet
It is honestly astounding what talented computer graphic programs and artists can do these days. I remember when a render was a haphazardly done Photoshop that simply cut and paste really poorly visualized elements of a vehicle.

Now we have three-dimensional models that are being guided — pretty much to a "t" — by the latest and greatest spy shots. You HAVE to love technology and how far we've come!

While we've been keeping an eye on General Motors' Chevrolet division and its latest work as it develops the all-new, upcoming Chevrolet Camaro, it seems a Camaro6 forum user going by the handle chazcron has been busy putting together his take on the soon-to-come Camaro from GM.

And, if you ask me, it's the best rendering of the next-gen Camaro yet.

If you click "Read Article" below, you'll be transported to the first thread in a series. If you work your way from the beginning to the end, you'll see the beginnings of a Camaro take form to a completely bodied automobile.

For our purposes I've included just one shot. To see the FULL collection of renders, click the link below to make the jump.

I am not sure, but I think the Mustang looks the best for now.

The current Camaro didn't need a whole lot of updating as it is pretty aesthetically nice and still better than the new Mustang. This rendering looks like a good, modern take on it.

But, frankly, the part that needed the most work is the interior. So, let's hope they make it worth the price of admission.

Needs a larger greenhouse and to look and feel smaller, like a "pony" car. I hope this is not even close to the finished product.

I am pretty sure the next-gen Camaro will be smaller overall. Don't know if the wheelbase will be shorter though. We should see a lighter vehicle with better driving dynamics.

Needs a larger greenhouse and to look and feel smaller lighter and airier... More like a "pony" car. I really hope this is nothing like the next generation Camaro!

Still looks like a pig. Make it SMALLER. Make it LIGHTER!

It's hideous. The front looks Japanese Sci-Fi. The middle is flavorless and bland. The thickness makes the car look flabby. The rear quarter panel looks like the Mustang.

What I suspect this may be is a photoshop that began with the 2015 Mustang as its base.

As said above, the Camaro desperately needs to lose weight and its interior is cringe worthy and needs something functional and pleasing.

While I don't think the current Camaro is ugly, Chevy did not hit the "retro aged forward" look that the 05 Mustang did brilliantly. Dodge did a great job with interpreting the Challenger.

If anything, I'm hoping for a 1970 Camaro interpretation because the 70 Camaro is when the Camaro's design language was iconized.

Each time Chevy tries to 'update' a model, they inevitably ruin the look. This alleged 'new' Camaro is a perfect case in point.

Or when they facelifted the current Camaro and gave it a Honda Prelude rear end...

I think the Mustang did a better job of moving from one generation to the next, this looks a bit lazy. I just don't see improvement here.

Let's hope this in no way represents the next Camaro. GM had to know that Ford would do its damnedest to be on game with the Mustang, so I'm hoping something really cool happens. Surely GM can't be ok with a lukewarm makeover of a lukewarm makeover...oh wait...the Malibu debacle...nevertheless I am hoping for a smaller Camaro with a 750 pound weight loss.

I don't mind the new look. I liked the current look as well. I'm not at all a potential buyer until they come out with a 3/4 scale model that weighs in the 3000 lbs territory. It's just way to big and heavy to consider owning.
