2015 Lexus RC Outclasses The Germans In Latest IIHS Crash Tests
When Lexus decided to take on the BMW 4-series, Mercedes C-Series, and Audi S5/RS5 there was never any doubt that Lexus would create a car to compete with these excellent coupes. However, as the RC 350 and RC F rollout, and the data comes in, the new 2015 Lexus RC line is starting to separate itself from the pack in important ways. This week, it is the announcement that the RC earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ rating (TSP+). No other vehicle in its class has done so.

well the A5 has never been tested for small overlap crash by IIHS...If Lexus is basing their claim off of the A4, then the IS350 fared just as bad as the A4...and the newest IS350 hasn't been tested...

Well if the biased IIHS says it's better...

Doesn't anyone see the IIHS's conflict of interest? They are owned by the insurance industry and are used to figure out how to do premium rate increases for their owners. They crown this Lexus that will not sell anywhere as well as its BMW/Mercedes competitors, but because the IIHS says they do not perform as well up go the rates.

They crash one car and make a pronouncement.

Their history makes it evident who calls the shots.

Cars were getting too competent in IIHS tests so out of the blue they construct a partial offset crash tests that most cars will fail miserably. They then start releasing horrific footage and up go the rates.

Pure sickness that Consumer Reports sheeple believe is true.
