RENDERED SPECULATION: Does Audi's All-New Q7 Look BETTER Rendered As A BMW X6, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe Competitor?
One vehicle that has received a tremendous amount of attention since its debut earlier this month has been the all-new Audi Q7 set to appear at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS). Showed off in a vivid blue, the vehicle is a more conservative design than what currently exists and almost a bit Volkswagen-like.

Most people aren't too concerned with that because the one sentiment that keeps being echoed is its stance. The consensus agrees, it looks a bit too much like a station wagon — or Avant as Audi would say — instead of a capable sport-utility vehicle.

Perhaps we're only seeing a highly equipped model with an air suspension that's in its lowest setting?

Anyhow, as we've seen the likes of BMW offer a slant back SUV a la the X6 and with Mercedes-Benz following in its footsteps with its GLE-Class Coupe, we think it's only a matter of time before the four rings jumps into the fray.

So, when I saw that X-Tomi rendered up a supposed "Q8," I knew that I had to show it to you and take your temperature.

Is this BETTER LOOKING than the Q7?

What say you, Spies?

predictable but horridly boring

Makes it a cooler Q7 with that A7 roofline. The Q7 doesn't impress at first but more than likely it will be pretty solid on the road.

IMHO the roofline on this may be a better fit than on the A7. On the A7 it ends up in a rear end that to me looks like a platypus's bill. Too wide from the rear and with a squashed look from the side.

Better than the Q7? Yes.

By itself a great design? Still no, but neither are the X6 or GLE Coupe, though both are more interesting than this.
