#SDAUTOSHOW: How Do YOU Like ME Now? BLACK On RED All-New BMW X5M Looks SINISTER
When it comes to spec'ing an all-new vehicle, you've got to make sure to check out ALL of your options. It's become much more apparent to me over the years that the color combination, much like wheels/tires, can MAKE or BREAK your auto and its style.

Case in point: the all-new BMW X5M.

2015 San Diego Auto Show #SDAutoShow

When the car debuted with all-new studio shots, the X5M was shown in a silver/red combination and the X6M was pictured with a blue/caramel interior. For some reason, the X5M didn''t speak to me.

But at the 2015 San Diego Auto Show, BMW brought on by a black/red example that just looks as Jeremy Clarkson would say "a symphony of evil."

That said, we wanted to revisit both the X5M and X6M and see what YOU think: how do you like the all-new BMW sport-utility vehicles in THESE color combinations?

A black/red X5 LOWERED down would be hotness. Dropping the X5 in the picture 1.5 to 2 inches would be sweet. The blue X6 with basketball orange interior is grotesque and tasteless.

Look again. That X5M is dark blue metallic with a red interior.

Look again. The blue one is an X6 says so on the tail.

Jeff's right.

That is Carbon Black, which has hints of dark blue in it. Originally appeared in the E46 M3 and has come/gone in BMW's paint scheme for M's for several years now.

Comments about the color looking blue and not black are correct and there are 2 M colors that are called "black" that are actually blue in certain light- Carbon Black and Jerez Black-- I'm pretty sure Agent00R's recollection of the Carbon Black introduction on E46 M3 is accurate. I currently drive a 2011 E90 M3 and the color is Jerez Black and looks identical to the color of the X5M shown.
