Ordering A 2015 BMW? Be Aware Of The PRICE INCREASE Effective As Of January 5
If you're in-market for an all-new BMW, you'll definitely want to check this out before putting off possibly making a purchase today. That's because the company just announced that it will be making a small adjustment to its pricing as of January 5.

Looking at a 4-Series or X1 you're talking about a price increase of merely $250-300 smackers. While it's not that big of a deal, this will add up to BMW's bottom line.

Now if you're a bit more keen eyed you'll note that the new X5's see a more substantial increase to the tune of $700-1,000.

So, if you're going to be making moves, get to it folks!

a stronger dollar makes imports cheaper, not more expensive.

this price increase is simply due to demand. they're raising prices because they can.

They can raise the price but the premium segment is a buyer's market and the demographic is not that brand loyal. It will continue to be cut throat between BMW, MB, Audi, Porsche, and Lexus.

Indeed, they are not brand royal. There are many people who can afford Mercedes S class or Porsche 911, but they usually end up buying Chevy Aveo or Impala.

Typical foolish remark. Vehicles in this price range are VERY MUCH cross shopped, often coming down to the best lease deal. The premium SUV market is especially vulnerable to cross shopping and the allure of sweetheart leases as is the entry sedan (A3/CLA).

Not foolish, Matt. It's basically because, Chevrolet Aveo and Chevrolet Impala are as luxurious as Mercedes-Benz S class, and also the Aveo and Impala are also like sports cars, even beating out Porsche 911, performance-wise.

Right :D

I will change to Chevy Equinox then :D

Actually wait, is it American? Because the American engineering is practically dead, like how Buick is just a rebadged Opel, and tons of Chevy products use Australian technologies.

I am not sure which one is still American. Can you please enlighten me? :D?

@JDMUS

I understand you like to be sarcastic and what not but it's getting tiring on everyone here.

Please contribute meaningfully going forward.

Q7 3.0T Quattro is still a bargain compared to the X5 Xdrive35i, and it comes with real leather too.

What really matters about $300 to $700. for such a high end, high priced auto? Nothing.
