This was inevitable. I mean, practically it is as same as a Chinese luxury car being priced at 40k to compete with the Germans.

Cadillac should be priced even lower than Hyundai to even think about competing. Because guess what, Seoul, Korea is not bankrupt. Aichi, Tokyo (Toyota) is not bankrupt. Stuttgart and Munich, Germany are even richer than ever thanks to BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.

And Detroit. Bankrupt. And you want people to pay so much for their cars?

By the way, I noticed there are some racist Americans on this website, who hate Japan and China in general. Well, inferiority complex much? At least Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing are..."not" bankrupt.

Acura needs to consider the same for its RLX, but maybe by a bit more.

almost had to agree with JDMusMuscle until he started talking garbage ( AGAIN )
the cts is a very nice car, but in order for me to consider it, it really would have to be a cheaper alternative to the german brands. thats the right way to say it.
dont compare cadillac to some chinese trash company , or hyundai.
cadillac is very capable but they have limits, and cant be priced the same as germans.

So de Nysschen has already had to backtrack? Rolling the ATS and CTS back $5-7K would ignite sales. Pricing them like the Germans is moronic.

Pricing like the Germans has backfired on Jaguar and it's not wise for Cadillac either.

These cars were designed and priced way before he took over. You have some unnatural hatred for the guy but he is not personally responsible for any Cadillac sold now and not even the CT6 and at best the next SRX will really have his touch. At best he has touched the non product portions of Cadillac like marketing, structure and probably this price cut was approved by him but no Cadillac available for sale has his fingerprints on it yet.

i think jaguar could be priced above cadillac, but also below the germans for sure.. every person getting a maserati ghibli right now is getting them for 9-15k under msrp !! id still rather have a maserati over cadillac...
