#CES: New Audi Q7 SUV’s Cabin is Revealed in Las Vegas
Audi reveals next generation MMI control interface on new Q7 dashboard at the CES 2015 show

The new Audi Q7 will be getting its world debut at the Detroit Motor Show next week, but Audi gave show-goers at the CES technology show in Las Vegas a sneak preview of the new SUV’s interior, including a revamp for the its MMI infotainment control system.

Audi appears to have stepped up the interior quality another notch with a beautifully crafter dash featuring wood, metal and leather. The virtual cockpit from the TT with its 12.3-inch TFT screen sits inside the main binnacle, while a central monitor rises out of the dash when the car’s started.

Having owned quite a few Audis in recent years, it seems like the touch pad and navigation wheel are awkwardly positioned behind the gear shifter.

It's perfectly positioned when you rest your hand on the gear shift....

the air vents filling up the entire length of the dash to the right of the steering wheel is horrendous

The actual vent is not full width I believe.

Wasn't this "revealed" in a huge press release a few weeks ago.

There's just something missing here. Much like the A3 and new TT interiors, it's overly spartan and for a $80k+ vehicle, it just doesn't feel appropriate. Will obviously have to see it in person. I'm sure the technology is amazing, though, however, it may border on overkill.

Mildly disappointed, expected more, something along the lines of what MB did for its S class update.
