#NAIAS: BEST REAL-LIFE Pics Of The All-New Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG AND Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC!
Last night the Agents had the pleasure of attending the Mercedes-Benz New Year's Reception held at Detroit's Westin Book Cadillac. Not only is it a remarkable venue — it's the kind of place where the President stays when he's in town — but Mercedes sure knows how to put on a show. More on that later.
Debuted to the sounds of new-age Motown music — thank you Mayer Hawthorne — the three-pointed star trotted out the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Coupe and the all-new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC.

I'm confused - if this "coupe" is called the GLE450...then how is MB changing the nomenclature of its existing ML350 and GL450 series? I heard that the SUV's based on this architecture (i.e. all of these) will have some version of the "GL" or "GLE" prefix or "E" ....anybody know exactly what MB is going to call all of them?
Very confusing when automakers change names.
(Still to this day I think of the Acura RL as RL="replaces legend") they shouldn't mess with these names.
