#NAIAS: Ford GT Or Acura NSX - Which Gets Your Nod For Most Appealing Super Car At Detroit?

Ford Motor Co.’s glistening blue GT sports car and Honda Motor Co.’s racy red Acura NSX hot rod generated buzz at the opening media day of the expo, with partisans picking sides as if the cars were football playoff contenders.

The crush surrounding the high-priced, high-power machines contrasted with the scant attention paid to sensible sedans and eco-friendly cars.

The GT is more of a supercar but it's also a concept that takes some liberties. But it definitely did steal the NSX's thunder and made it look almost tame even though the NSX has lots of scoops and edges and so on.

I second this comment. There are elements of the GT that are cool, but overall it looks a bit bloated and overstylized. The NSX looks very fit and sexy.

They both have equal intrigue for different reasons. The GT is a more audacious car. The NSX is more subtle in its approach. Both will be phenomenal performers.

Ford GT shows America's third world country pride against the first world European powerhouses. And it's a great thing.

But compared to Acura NSX? Even though they both were built in the U.S., I will say Honda is far more appealing, not to mention most likely the new NSX will be a lot more reliable, too.

Ford GT is a WINNER! Solid original design with a powerful theme.

The Acura NSX is a JOKE. It looks like a teenager's video game car with nothing but techno gobling gook hanging off of every corner. Laughable.

i really like both, nsx will be a more practical daily driver whereas the GT will probably be much better on a track...
