The conspiracy of course is that it is used as a distraction from the other elephant in the room, the new Volt. It is also being used to neuter the sales of the current sub 100-mile EVs on the market, specifically the LEAF.

LOL. This is GM, folks.
This Bolt is reminiscent of is the concept version of the Volt.
How much of that made it to production? Nothing.
Two years from now this car will have a 3-cylinder engine, a tailpipe, a black-plastic interior, and instead of a futuristic dash, we'll get "On Star". Instead of transparent glass panels in the rear and roof, we'll get black-painted sheet metal.
