#NAIAS: The 2016 Tacoma Looks To Be One Tough Cookie On The Outside - But Does The INSIDE Hold That Promise?
I think we are all pretty much in agreement that the new Tacoma looks like one tough cookie on the outside.
Rugged and aggressive, just what you want a truck to look like. But that is only part of the story, the interior gets as much punishment as the outside and this leaves us wondering.
Will THIS interior stand up to the rigors the outside promises? Look at the broad expanses of hard plastic that might easily scratch and you see what I mean. While the OUTSIDE promises to take me anywhere, the INSIDE says treat me with care.
I guess the test of time might prove me wrong, but I would have to check this one out in person before I make my decision.

It's like any other truck interior. Don't much like that brown looking leather seats but I also don't like that cream color exterior looking truck either. I guess for a mid size truck it should be in line with others on the market. (Let me know when they start designing a truck to look like an Aston Martin, Porsche, Ferrari, etc.)

It's a Tacoma, not a Taco. It's never been referred to as a Taco, nor will it ever be.
Wtf is it with some headlines? This isn't Reddit, Facebook or Twitter. If it's a Tacoma, call it a friggin' Tacoma!

Seriously??! I died laughing....most because of how odd "Taco" is being used to reference a Tacoma. Umm...I'm not the most sensitive guy at times, but I certainly find the headline offensive. I mean, some folks could really take this one to heart. I say change the title...(my .02)

Really? I don't think it's that big of a deal. Taco is actually a pretty common nickname for the Tacoma. Very similar to Bimmer for BMW, Merc for Mercedes-Benz, Godzilla for the GTR, etc.

Yeah. The interior is best described as utilitarian and off road ready, the lower dash looks pretty hard plastic. The Colorado/Canyon aren't super soft plastics either though.

Ummm.... Visit any Toyota forum. Very common name for a Tacoma. Heck... There is an aftermarket audio site specifically for tacomas called Taco Tunes. Nothing wrong with a good Taco;)
