#NAIAS: MORE Pictures Of The All-New Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe — INTERIOR Detailed!
One of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show's (NAIAS) main headliners was the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. Regardless of what you think of its very controversial styling, one thing is clear: these things will sell.

Although a lot of folks like to say the BMW X6 was not a sales success, it was. And it also generated nice business for the Bavarian marque. It's not a mystery why the three-pointed star has decided to pursue the same niche.

If you recall, we were more than happy to show you the first real-life pictures of the GLE Coupe from the Mercedes-Benz gathering it had the evening before the main event. But, we wanted to detail the interior a bit more — especially the rear hatch and trunk space.

That's why Agent 001 climbed into the GLE63 and unleashed his camera's fury. In addition, note we took trunk shots.

Sorry to say but that center stack/console looks dated already. It appears to be an updated version of the CLA interior, which would be appropriate in a CLA or GLA. I know it's an update of the existing ML/GL interiors, but the updates they made to the upper vents and display monitor has cheapened it and made it look clumsy, and like it took a step backwards.

Yeah looks worse than the old ML interior by sticking on the display. It also means that the GLE coupe will have a generation riding on an aging ML platform that will likely be replaced in two years for the regular ML or GLE SUV.
