EXCLUSIVE: Agents Break BIGGEST Audi Story Of 2015! Official USA Product Roadmap For MY 2015, 2016 AND 2017
It was not so long ago during our coverage of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) that I wrote we were having a spectacular 2015 so far. It only seems to be getting better.

That's because we received all-new information that will have Audiphiles delighted. We've hit the jackpot. For the FIRST time we're relaying the official Audi of America product roadmap for model year(s) 2015, 2016 AND 2017.

It rarely gets this good.

While 2015 seems relatively ho hum, you will note that things heat up for the 2016 MY. The Q7 hits the ground running in the first month of 2016 and then the springtime will see the launch of the much anticipated next-gen A4. From there we'll see everyone's favorite daily driver supercar, the R8 — in all-new form — launch in the summer.

Probably the most exciting news though comes for the 2017 MY. That's because not only will we receive an all-new Q5 that's desperately needed, an all-new sport-utility vehicle will make its way into the four rings' product portfolio. That would be the rumored about Q8.

To see the FULL timeline, scope out the AutoSpies exclusive below. You may notice several other vehicles in there that may be of interest to you.

**Special thanks to Ingrid Stadt for the scoop!

Is it just me, or do all those cars look virtually the same? Especially sharing the same color. And I'm a guy who actually *likes* some Audis!

2016 sounds like the year for the exciting product. Interesting that the A8 is not even on the radar until 2018. I would figure the Q7 would be a fall 2015 entry and the A4 and A5 flipped their entries compared to when the last gens debuted.

This must have been a slotted scoop used to get this since it appears the new TT slipped through and was lost.

This is hilarious...let's see, how can we put the exact same front end style on as many differently shaped boxes and create a whole line-up of diverse vehicles? They are just copying BMW.

Happy to see the A5 Sportback coming to our shores

I was really hoping to give the next generation S4 a good look, i need to replace my aging E90 335i (the F30 doesn't cut it for me), but Audi is taking way too long with the A4/S4, their most important model. It looks like the MB C450 amg sport will get my $$

I think the sad reality is the whole VW group is sorely starved for cash resources (i.e. R&D cash to fund new platforms, engines, styling, etc).

Look at Bentley and the 12+ yr old W-12 it uses. Look at the ubiquitous 2.0T four that is literally in every car line in the VW group except for Porsche, Bentley, and Lambo. Look at the increasingly cheapo interiors. Finally look at this warmed over audi strategic plan that's lackluster at best.

Then couple that with VW's quest for "world sales domination" and you have a recipe for underinvestment as the R&D money is going out the door on incentives.

I think they need some management change at the top - Germany desperately needs to change its inheritance laws so the founding families of these companies need to get out and leave the management to professionals.

Oh, and they apparently never hold focus groups either - else why would VW's NA product line suck so much (GTI aside).

Not at all, VW and Audi have something like 80 billion allocated for product development. Certainly not an issue of lack of cash or investment. The W12 is a bit old but it more or less fits Bentley character as they purposely use a pushrod V8 there as well. The 2.0T is updated pretty frequently, the US doesn't get the good stuff alway though and it takes a long time to get here.

WOW! Audi looks poised to take over the ... no just kidding this is about as uninteresting as a roadmap can possibly look for an automaker. Whooptee-doo, updates on existing models are coming in the future. Surprise, surprise.

Mercedes at least has the new AMG GT S. That thing is new. They're working on some new stuff. BMW has a sports car they are co-developing with Toyota.

Audi... ugh, come on. That's like looking at the roadmap for Whirlpool washers and dryers. A new washer and dryer in 2015, then also in 2016, and possibly in 2017.

People are failing to realize that Audi is investing $29 billion through 2018 in its quest to overtake BMW for the top spot in premium global sales. Audi has achieved tremendous sales success in some crucially important markets such as the U.S. and China. Audi realizes that it's current offerings are appealing to a broad audience and it's strategy has been to sharpen its existing products and make them better, which by all accounts is exactly what it's doing.

There will be new models, make no mistake. The Q8 will be a new flagship SUV offering, the TT line will grow to include the TT-Q sport-coupe SUV, and the A5 Sportback will come to the U.S.

Audi is doing just fine and is focusing on improving its volume models rather than focusing on creating niche models like BMW that appeal to a very small audience and cannibalize sales.

BMW's ever-growing entry level models 3-series sedan, 4-series coupe, 3-Series GT, 4-Series Gran Coupe and who knows what else they will come up with won't do it any favors going forward. Audi realizes this over saturation will have negative consequences going forward and is therefore not flooding the market with infinitely small niche models.
