YOUR HELP Is Needed: A Commute Like None Other — 21 Miles, On Foot
This is certainly NOT a story you hear about every day.

A Detroit-based factory worker, 59 year old James Robertson, does the unthinkable. A 23-mile round trip commute to and from his gig. That may not sound completely unordinary as most people commute 20 or so miles to their employer. The difference between Robertson and most other workers making the same journey? He does 21 miles on foot.

Unfortunately, this man's last car quit on him, which is said to have happened approximately 10 years ago. Still, this hasn't deterred him from making the trip to and from work, Monday through Friday, even through the harshest elements — rain, snow, single digit temperatures.

And his attendance record is sterling.

This inspiration has led to a friend of AutoSpies and an automotive industry public relations professional to start a GoFundMe campaign for Robertson.

Leaving home in Detroit at 8 a.m., James Robertson doesn't look like an endurance athlete.

Pudgy of form, shod in heavy work boots, Robertson trudges almost haltingly as he starts another workday.

But as he steps out into the cold, Robertson, 56, is steeled for an Olympic-sized commute. Getting to and from his factory job 23 miles away in Rochester Hills, he'll take a bus partway there and partway home. And he'll also walk an astounding 21 miles.

Five days a week. Monday through Friday.

It's the life Robertson has led for the last decade, ever since his 1988 Honda Accord quit on him...

THAT is how it's done. More Americans need his spirit. No whining about how "I lost my job because my car died so that's why I'm on welfare" idiocy. The far Left likes to make it easy for people to get lazy and live off hard workers like this man. We need much more "can do" and a whole lot less "poor me". If I were a car company, I'd say give this man a car.

The far right would have moved his job off-shore, fired him, repossessed his car and divided the profits among themselves.

And the far left dolts like you would have turned him into a serial breeding baby daddy living big on welfare. Shouldn't you be at Whole Foods?

Poor little Matty, this is what happens when you come from the shallow end of the gene pool. You hate the rich, you hate the poor, you hate women, you hate any one of a different race than you. No empathy, no understanding, no acceptance, just hate - - - what a poor pathetic soul.
