GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: SKETCHED OUT! Hyundai Set To Debut All-New Tucson
If I've said it once, I've said it 1,000 times.

People want entry-level sport-utility vehicles whether their on the market for a bargain or encroaching upon luxury territory. Buyers these days love the extra ride height, reassurance and utility an SUV brings to the table.

Hyundai's Tucson is set for a BIG debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and from what we can tell via the latest sketch, it's looking awfully good. Very edgy and sporting, indeed.

Rather than have me tell you all about it though, check out Peter Schreyer as he draws it out for you. Literally.

Concept drawings always look way more badass than the real deal. But the Tucson is WAY overdue for a new design so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

It's a strong seller as is. Anything new will increase sales.

hopefully it looks this good in production

Can someone tell me why a Korean car company chooses to use names of cities in the Southwest US for their SUV's?

Because no one would buy the Hyundai Daejeon. As it stands, one of Hyindai's biggest issues is people getting over the name of the brand.

Myself personally, I don't care about "edgy" designs. I want my car to be pleasant and not shout "look at me!". These designs don't age well.

While I wouldn't be in the market for this particular car, I think competition is good for the industry. I hope it comes across well.

Looks like an Audi grille. As usual, Hyundai displays its lack of design originality.

Brands with Audi like grilles: *clears throat

2007 Lancer ECo, 2009 Tundra, Chevy Sonic, VW Iroc concept, 2015 Ford Edge, but all of a sudden Hyundai is the copycat because it's Korean.

Also ignoring the Dodge Charger's audi like grille. But because Dodge isn't Korean it can get away with it.

And ignroing Lexus and Infinti using Audi Like grilles too. And took Kia's signature grille and turned it sideways. And ignroing the 2016 Ford F-150 has Kia's 2007 Kee grille.

This ''new distinctive grill'' is a joke. This junction between the grill and the light is becoming a cliche in modern car design. BMW did it, then Mazda, Audi, and now Hyundai.

So why didn't you bring up Ford because it's not Japanese or Korean? Ignoring the grilles on the new Edge and Explorer.

I'm jtz. I'll get brands from Acura-Volvoo. Who else wants to play dumb and pretned the 2015 Ford Escape's side profile didn't ripp off the Pontiac Vibe, 2006 Mazda, Jeep Campass and Rav-4's side profiles? But could only see the 2006 Kia cee'ds side because it's Korean. 2016 Lincoln MKR and 2015 Jeep Cherokee hint greenhouses.

2009 Impreza hatch, Infinti EX and Mazda CX-5 hint greenhouses.
