Will Hyundai's Next Gen Equus Become A Stepping Stone From The Germans Or Buick And Lexus?
Hyundai was on to something when it first launched the Genesis and the larger Equus a few years ago. The Korean automaker essentially started the so-called "affordable luxury" segment. Are customers flocking away from Audi and BMW to their nearest Hyundai dealer? Not so much. But what has happened is those who’d typically go for, say, a Toyota Avalon or Buick LaCrosse are checking out Hyundai for the first time. And now Hyundai is busy prepping the finishing touches to the redesigned 2017 Equus.

Hyundai/Kia DESPERATELY needs to house their premium luxury models under a brand name. Genesis would make the most sense.

Looking forward to this one. It's the first Hyundai fully designed under Peter Schreyer. He's done some superb work for Audi and Kia so hopefully this won't disappoint.

The front looks like the new Genesis with the grill design, the side angle reminds me of a Cadillac with the big rear door and the shape of it, and the rear at least the way it's covering the lens looks like the S Class in shape. The trunk from the side view looks too big comparing to today's designs. Looks like it's hanging over, like the old cars. This is a big car. The rear dept. looks like you have Maybach legroom.
