Real or Fake: CLS wagon

Remember this "CLS Wagon" pictured above, well I do. This image has made it on to virtually every car website, including BenzInsider, in the matter of hours. Nobody really knew what it was or where it came from, but almost everyone liked it. A lot people debated if it was a modified CLS, or an E-class wagon with a CLS front. The only thing that nobody could really answer was if it was real or, like we see a lot of, photoshopped. Now, I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but I will show you a couple of images below, and then you decide if the one above is real or not. These people that do this stuff are very talented and anything could be possible.

I'm gonna say that at least some of the pics are fake, like the side shot driving in front of the mountain. It's still the sweetest wagon I've ever seen, real or fake.

Ok, to me, the car in question is REAL. It uses an E-Class estate body and some talented body shop added a CLS front to the front of the car.

Will, those photoshops were made by CWW from Germany. He posts on Germancarzone, Carpsin and C&D. I read those boards.

really, so you can actually read because that is what it says on the website.

The first one is probably real, but look at the second one below the text, that look real. All of the pix look like they are real, these guys have some amazing skills.

Mercedes will never build a CLS wagon.

The sedan's design is just not compatible in wagon format.

Like 530i said, its a fanatic E-Class Estate owner who got a body shop to graft a CLS front-end on.

End of story.

The pictures are all fake. The best one of all is the one in black, but they failed to make the line of the rear door finish at the proper place in the pillar. It's nice to see people's creativity at work anyway!

And besides, it doesn't have simulated wood-grain paneling on the sides. It can't be real without that.
