CHICAGO AUTO SHOW: TEASED! Toyota's Flagship, The Avalon, Gets A Refresh And Chi-Town Debut Next Week
With time running out before the start of the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, more news is trickling out on a daily basis. Although it tends to be a quieter show than what you find with the Los Angeles, New York and Detroit shows, Chicago still has a presence. It's holding its own after all these years.

Set to appear for the very first time is a newly refreshed version of the Toyota Avalon. Although it feels like an all-new version was just released, it's been a couple of years since it launched. As expected, it's time that the flagship model for Toyota gets a little tender loving care.

Although we're not entirely sure what direction Toyota will take the Avalon — remember, it looks like a poor man's Audi A7 — our friends at Autoblog were able to uncover a bit more from the company-issued teaser image.

As you can see below, it looks like someone flipped on the lights!

From what I am seeing, it only appears that the new addition can be found with the LED headlights. Are you catching anything else?

Toyota's press release follows:

Toyota will light up the Chicago Auto Show when it debuts the 2016 Avalon. The sexy sedan shines at 2:30 p.m. CT, Thursday, Feb. 12.

This is basically a Japanese Buick - and should be styled to attract that customer - yet Toyota and lots of others are abandoning their core market - to try to attract younger buyers - and alienate the older ones.

However - now the older buyers can again actually buy a competitive Buick -and the LaCrosse will be more in line with the Luxury look those buyers want.
