GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: LEAKED! The All-New Audi R8 Gets FULLY EXPOSED Before The BIG Reveal!
This isn't something that happens every day. The all-new, next-generation Audi R8 has been LEAKED before its big debut that was said to be slated for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Even worse for the four rings? The car is fully exposed.

There's nothing left to hide now. No element of surprise.

While we have no official confirmation on what motor(s) will power the next-gen R8, from what we've heard of it during initial testing, there's a good chance it will feature a variant of the V10 motor found in the Lamborghini Huracan. Expect it to be detuned.

Elsewhere you will note that the vehicle, overall, keeps the wedge design and mid-engine layout. Why mess with someone that worked so well the first go around? Design wise it's clear the vehicle's details are more angular and the three-dimensional, hexagonal-shaped front grille is front and center. From what I can decipher, it looks like there's a glossy black honeycomb insert in there.

According to reports I've read from other publications, the image was sourced from an Instagram account — it was pulled down. The user claims to have other shots but they were not posted on the 'Net.

The next-generation Audi R8 has leaked ahead of its expected debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 next month. The 2016 Audi R8 is successor to Audi’s current critically acclaimed supercar. The photo appears to have been taken in a workshop as the finishing touches are being applied to a development car.

The 2016 Audi R8 gets the new family grille, previewed on the Los Angeles Concept car last year. The shape is familiar but the R8 loses its stylistic side blades. The design lines are sharper than the outgoing car, naturally, it looks very similar to the new Audi TT...

And like the TT 100% underwhelming.

Good the original poster in Redit said their fake pictures and so do people that have seen it. What a blurry picture from I don't know source is fake?

I guess I'll no longer wait for the "new, bold, and exciting" that's been so hyped for the past year. If this is new, bold and exciting, I'd really hate to see conservative and boring.

And, for this car, just like the TT, the R8 appears to have been stripped of (some of) its character.

Nissan GT-R and Acura NSX are far superior to this, in every way.

But I bet the Europe worshippers will still go for the new Audi R8.

Especially the NSX since it was designed, engineered and will be built in the U.S.A. Right brother?

Very unflattering picture. I reserve judgement until a proper reveal.

After owning 3 R8's, I cannot express how disappointed I will be if this indeed is the next gen. R8. It look like a refresh and not a particularly attractive one.

Photoshop by a kid on redit. Not a very good one. Hint, blurry pictures of ufos and cars are usually fake

The problem with the R8 is that VWAG will never let it be truly great because then it would step on the 911 and the Huracan.

that is not automatically a bad thing in my book, even if it doesn't accelerate or handle as well as their corporate brothers, it is still a great sports car

Lol! The 911 is superior to the R8. 911 consistently produce more performance with less power and weight than the R8.

LOL! The 911 SMOKES the R8 for less money. The Stingray can kill an R8 for half the price. The R8 simply is not that amazing.

This blurry picture is awful. People should wait for the official release by Audi before making judgments.

assuming the photo is real and not photoshopped, do we know this is a new R8 we're looking at and not the rumored smaller car, an R4 or whatever they'd call it..? would be kinda like Land Rover's approach-- having separate "Discovery", "Range Rover" and eventually "Defender" lines of vehicles... if it IS a photo of the R8, I'm gonna miss the side 'blade'-- such an iconic car, design-wise!!

Everyone.

To clarify, we're getting mixed reports on the authenticity of the picture above.

Take it as you see it: something off the Internet that may be true or may be complete hogwash.
