Mercedes-Benz CL 63 AMG

Mercedes-AMG is unveiling the range-topping version of the new luxury coupe, the CL 63 AMG. Under the bonnet is an AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine that was developed independently and delivers a maximum output of 386 kW/525 hp and 630 Newton metres of peak torque for guaranteed scintillating performance.

Absolutely awesome...I want one. If only mercedes would incorporate some sort of Displacement on Demand like they have in the 00-02 S600 (I believe it was those years, I may be wrong). On a naturally aspirated engine, this is not so hard to do, even thought its 4 valves per cylinder. Go Benz!

When Mercedes comes out with a car with 500hp (coupe), you think it's amazing, but when Audi comes out with a more fuel-efficient 700lb ft of torque diesel SUV, you think it's stupid?

Spare me.

I'd take both, but if I wanted an AMG Mercedes, it would be the new S65, case closed. That car has EVERYTHING you'd want- except AWD. The S8 is fabulous too, so I'd settle for that and keep $80,000 for a 6 Series on the side.

I realized that when I looked at the new CL, too.

However, they made it nicer than the 6 Series like the 7 Series interior vs. S-Class, and the exterior looks absolutely nothing like the 6 Series.
