Video Review: Challenger Hellcat Or Camaro Z28 - Which Would Be Your Daily Driver?

Two of the hottest muscle cars money can buy these days, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the Chevrolet Camaro Z28 have been recently taken out for a spin by Everyday Driver. The videos posted below are bringing us some good impressions on the two vehicles but be warned, you may end up placing an order for one of them.

The Chevrolet Camaro has been around for quite a few years now but the Z28 continues to fascinate petrol heads. The muscle car has a four-tailpipe exhaust system, an aerodynamic body kit and it is taking its power from a large 7.0 liter V8 engine, capable of producing a total output of 505 HP (376 kW) and 652 Nm (481 lb-ft) of torque.

Hellcat. You can really only get the benefit of a Z28 on the race track. With typical Camaro's you can't see out of it very well. The ride is not great on unsmooth roads. The Hellcat crushes the Z28 in day to day living. It is easier to see out of. It is more comfortable. It has a nicer interior. True it gives up some handling ability. However for day to day living with the car it is more than a worth while trade off.

Hellcat all the way, not because of the 707hp, but because you get that plus more room and a better ride, not to mention better visibility and an actual usable back seat.

Hellcat. The sound alone kills the Z28.

I agree with all above comments.

Let's see, on the Z/28: Air conditioning is an option. The Z/28 model retains only one speaker for the seat belt chime, the rear quarter glass has been thinned, rear seats have been thinned, and most of the sound deadening has been removed in an effort to reduce weight inside of the vehicle.

Hellcat please.

The Hellcat is awesome but it is a gigantic and heavy car. Exactly what Dodge and Plymouth were like back in the muscle cars days.
