#CAS15: Does A Redesigned Interior Save The Equinox's Exterior From An Also Ran Status?

#CAS15: Does A Redesigned Interior Save The Equinox's Exterior From An Also Ran Status?
If you didn’t catch our disappointment with the new Equinox then you might want to read the preceding post one more time.  Now after circling our wagons and trying to overcome the initial disappointment, we directed our attention to the inside.  Certainly there were going to be some redeeming qualities here…right?

That depends if you like an abundance of plastic and questionable design choices and loads of clutter.  Now is it really that bad? Well lets just say a “C minus” at best.  Think we are a bit too critical?  You have to look no further than the new Honda Pilot to see what we mean.  It is hard to believe these two might share buyers

In a side by side comparison we just can’t see too many people being swayed by the Equinox.  Just when you think we have come so far, we fall back three paces.

The Equinox has always been a class-trailing design...now even more so

The rear door/C-Pillar approach provides some style, but seems impractical for easy entry/exit... interior is a yawner.... this needs to be MUCH better... especially in its market.... not good....
