Audi Launches Prologue Avant Concept - Showcases Audi's Future Wagon Direction!

Audi will offer another insight into the design of its future models with the Prologue Avant concept at the Geneva show next month. Revealed here for the first time in a series of official computer renderings and sketches, it builds on the well-received two-door Prologue concept car at the LA Motor Show last November.

Just as the Prologue concept previewed a possible future rival to the Mercedes S-Class Coupe (likely to be badged A9) as well as replacements for the A6, A7 and A8, the Prologue Avant shows how a more practical version of those cars could look, and judging by the low, sloping roofline Audi could have a Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake rival in the pipeline.

I guess then the whole rumor? was true. They said something about firing this, Audi chief guy since the head of VW didn't like how he designed the Audis. And apparently they had no choice but to just release the new Audi Q7...which the head of VW didn't like.

So I guess, this is supposed to be the real direction of Audi.

So they updated the 14 year old Avantissimo? I'll bet a 4 door convertible Prologue is next. Can't wait!!! After a few years of boring TT Iterations and the Quattro coupe concept iterations. Eyeroll.

This is a bit more interesting, the Prologue wasn't as good as a coupe as it could have been but keep the same proportions for an Avant or even a sedan and things actually get a bit more interesting.

This is not the Avant I was looking for . . . .

The concept looks less like a wagon/an Avant and more like a 4-door coup.
