The last sentence of the article said it all for me: "Bartsch replaced Ben Poore, who joined Infiniti in 2008 from Ford’s former Lincoln-Mercury unit."

There's part of the issue: don't hire someone from the Lincoln-Mercury division to run your company. There are (plenty of other well qualified candidates you could have promoted.

What sucks is Infiniti has SOOOOOOO much potential, I rmember when the G35 Sedan and Coupe first hit the market and literally made new Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus owners pause for a second a do a double take.

The sweet exhaust note that came with the G 35's and FX made you feel like Infiniti had arrived.

Then they got lazy, rested on their laurels and numerous awards their G series was showered with and seemingly fell asleep at the wheel of a brand that had the potential to at least keep Benz, BMW, and Lexus within eyesight

Mediocre products, lack of direction, confused and/or non existent brand image. I wouldn't want to run Infiniti either.

The worst thing they did was rename all the cars to Q.
