#NYIAS: FIRST LOOK! Cadillac DARES To Debut Its All-New CT6 Flagship During The Oscars!
Tonight is one of the biggest nights in Hollywood. Tonight is when The Academy delivers its awards to some of Hollywood's top talent. You may also know them as the Oscars.

Cadillac chose this night to debut the all-new flagship to the brand, the CT6. Why? We'll never know.

We think they may have been realized by as many people who noticed the all-new Nissan Maxima during the Super Bowl. In other words, it was limited to folks in the automotive space or serious gearheads.

The spot the company chose to run ran in line with its teaser earlier this week that got panned by the motoring press for NOT showing any Cadillacs. Well, folks, it was a teaser. Anyhow, scope out the all-new CT6 below and check out the advertisement below.

Look for the CT6 to debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show. I already received my invite.

Only those who dare drive the world forward #DareGreatly

Featuring Jason Wu, Anne Wojcicki, Njeri Rionge, Richard Linklater, and Steve Wozniak.
Song: Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien performed by Edith Piaf

It should've been

"How dare America challenge Europe"

Because in reality, America can never beat Europe in pretty much everything (Meaning not just cars). So I wanted to hear something bold from Cadillac like that.

But then I guess, Caddy knows America will never be able to be superior to Europe in anything, so I guess they were being smart.

And does it look nice? Well... it sure looks like a kit car for a flagship model (Like the new CTS-V. Is this where Caddy is going?).

Definitely does not have the beauty and luxury that the S Class, 7 Series, A8 and XJ have.

But it would do well against a Lexus LS at least. And Hyundai Equus. And if I were to rank those 3,

1. Lexus LS
2. Hyundai Equus
3. Cadillac

But don't get me wrong. I like this Caddy.

Awesome commercial and very inspiring! Now if only the designers at Cadillac could become as daring as the Marketing team I'd be all in!

Kudos to Cadillac for making a great commercial.

As far as the car, from what we could see, it looks a class below the best, to be honest. Maybe the full-view of the production model will say different, but I really didn't see much outside of a CTS and XTS that mated, instead of a true flagship, brand-leading model.

Beautiful commercial and an equally beautiful car. Yes Cadillac!

Caddilac missed the flagship opportunity and continues to miss it if they do not offer a model that draws 99% from the El Miraj or Ciel. The car in the commercial looks nice enough but it is not the halo car and not the last word in Americana luxury vehicles.

There is a CT8 or 9 coming that will do that.

You don't know anything about it yet. I've heard the interior is insane and every bit of a world class flagship interior. I'm excited to see this car... I can't wait either...

I am not North American or European...so I can be less biased: Looks very nice to me, better than BMW 7 or A8 but less luxurious than an S class but more slender....I can wait to see it on person , I have big expectations..

"How dare a 112 year old car manufacturer reinvent itself?"

Microsoft "reinvented" the Windows 8 user interface. They dare to be different. Daring to be different, or to reinvent yourself, is inconsequential, in and of itself. If that difference spells success, then you've got something going!

Let's check in a year or two down the line, reassess this date, and ask ourselves if on Feb 23/15 GM had indeed "turned around," or if their still reinventing themselves (or trying to "find themselves.")

Windows 8 never lived up to Microsoft's expectations. Many users hate it. The upcoming Windows 10 brings back a lot of the features of Windows 7. Let's hope Cadillac does a lot better with its remake. The jury is out.

Vette71: Your observations of Windows 8 are spot on, and that was exactly my point and my comparison. Change is NOT good. GOOD change is good.

The car is gorgeous and the ad spot is sheer genius! This is just what Cadillac needs to make the big impact they've been hoping for. We've owned a Cadillac XTS Platinum and if the interior of the CT6 is a leap above that, then it will not only be world class, it will be possibly best in class or, at minimum, on par with the new S-Class, which currently is class leader.

Did anyone see the latest commercial? This one features Jason Wu, the gay fashion designer, and he speaks about how his mother allowed him to ply with dolls as a child, and how she bought him a sewing machine against everyone's wishes, and because of her allowing him freedom to express himself he has become the person he is today...and then the commercial segues to the new Cadillac...it's called On Daring Greatly.
