GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: VIDEO! Audi Releases Its FIRST Trailer For The All-New R8 — How's It Sound?
After a busy week of Audimania, the second-gen R8 was released to much fan fare. Making its first appearance at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the car is a BIG deal to the four rings.

Keep in mind that the first-gen R8 was arguably the first vehicle that really helped propel Audi into the spotlight. It was the first Audi to carry LED lights and essentially change the luxury game from a design perspective.

If you can't read the writing on the wall, the second-gen car has some seriously BIG shoes to fill. But with a HUGE kick in the pants from a performance perspective, it seems that it will keep the first-gen's legacy more than intact.

In a trailer released for the debut of the all-new R8, Audi is more than happy to show off its halo car in action on the track. As a V10 Plus works its way from corner to corner, you'll be happy to hear its V10 bark

That said, let us know what YOU think of its sound: are YOU diggin' it?

I'm sure this car will drive like a dream. The power increases and the promised technology are definitely something to look forward to.

But, just going to be honest here and say that I'm not feeling this new design. The front and rear both just look a bit more upright compared to the outgoing model, making it seem more like a fancy TT than the R8. And I'm still not sure about the driver-centric approach with the instrument cluster and information system, which leaves the rest of the cabin so spartan. It's finished impeccably, though.

I agree. It looks too much like a toy and too little like a sexy supercar. But it´s built to last forever....

This car sounds amazing and really aggressive which is keeping in-line with its supercar performance. Audi made a fantastic decision to keep the original R8's general looks and just make some tweaks here and there. Audi was never going to radically change the design of such a hugely successful car for the brand because that would have been far too risky.

However, the front end is a lot more aggressive than before, the rear is cleaner, the interior is a huge improvement with the al-digital dash and upgraded technology. Best of all, the new R8 is lighter, faster, more powerful and better handling than the previous version.

You realize that commercials don't always record actual vehicle sounds. They often sync up cool engine sounds (without road and wind noise) to the available video in post-production.

I agree with previous comments about not feeling it with the sharp creases and trapezoids bandwagon.

Considering we've heard this all-new R8 V10 Plus in action in other clips/reviews posted this week, we know this is the real deal.

I'm with cidflekken. I'm not feeling this design either. It seems to have a bunch of tacked on scoops that makes this design overly busy. The back end looks smoother. Same for interior. It just seems a tad busy for me. It does not flow like the Lamborghini Hurricane either inside or out. If money was not an object I'd have to go for the Lambo.
