Real Audi A5 Spy Shots

Real Audi A5 Spy Shots
Here are the first spy shots of the Audi A5. This confirms that Audi will build the coupe. The heavy camo covers up a lot, but we can see the TT style sloping roof and frameless windows. Expect the A5 to debut at an auto show early next year eitehr at Detroit or Geneva.

Awesome, and so the onslaught of new models continues. First the Q7, then the RS4, followed by the S6/S8, TT and now the R8 and the upcoming A5.

The Q5 will be coming and someone rumored about an A7 also.

Talk about heavy hitting.

Finally, I've been waiting to actually SEE an A5! I thought it was just a high-profile rumor until now.

awesomeaudi,

You may be referring to the A7 photoshops that have been floating around. Do you mean the ugly two-piece headlights with the LED strip directly under them? That's not this car, it's from the A7 photoshop like I said. And I guarantee you those will not be production lights on an Audi any time soon, thank god!

The A5 will be a very good-looking car. I can't wait until the cabriolet comes out, because I'm sure that I'll be enamored with an S5 Cabriolet. My next car?... probably.

the dimensions look strikingly similar to the 335i. as much as i love audi, i'm afraid the car will just get discredited against the 335, as the a4 has against the e90.

i wonder that audi has in store for it. an rs5 version would surely be somthing to look forward to if/when it sees the light of day.

Audi doesn't make an A4 coupe. It has never made an A4 coupe before. They have had convertible A4 before.

I am not going to lie. BMW has had much better camo in the past.

If any one can find that BMW tank camo they should post it up. It looked bettet than the actual BMW inside the camo.

will, the a4 competes with the 3er, BUT audi is rebadging its model line, so (i think) the coupe a4 will be called the a5, as will the convertible a4.
bmw apprently wanted to call the current 3er coupe the 4 series (like merc does with the c and clk) but rover has the rights to 418 and 420, and those engines sell big time.
Pillarless doors, YAY. they are cool.

I don't know how any of you can see anything other than a bland mule for this future car. The front has no shape, or definition to it and it gives off nothing to what the real car will look like. They could have put cardboard around the whole thing and I would think it's the same car. Might as well go back to an "artists rendering" of the A5.

When someone has track pictures...then I'll comment.

Will-

Yes, I have an S4, a two-door cabriolet as my name explicitly suggests. But, as Rupert said, the A4 Cabriolet is being re-badged "A5" and will gain a coupe version; the A5 IS the coupe version of the A4.

It's a bit confusing, I know.

And by the way-

The big grille is there, it's just that the front end is covered in silver plastic.

Mark-

I'm pretty sure you know it's covered in plastic.

But look at the doors! You can see it'll have a flowing, contemporary design.

I Noticed the Car Above also has a B-Pillar, Not a Good Start.

SO long as BMW keep using B-Pillars in their Coupes, MB will have a slight Advantage in the Looks Department.

There is something Very Nice about the CLK/CL Side Profile that the 3-Coupe does not have.

Yea I did, I just figured that they would do a little better job of MAYBE showing us some of the body, other than this plastic blanket.
