Dieter Zetsche, the chief executive of Daimler, began a meeting with reporters at the Geneva International Motor Show on Tuesday by half-jokingly asking them not to spend too much time talking about Apple.

I think it's pretty funny how the NY Times wishes to think the people are worried about a frigging "Google". They are worried about Apple, not some appliance maker like Google.

And Apple will most likely make some of the most unreliable automobile mankind has ever seen and fail.

There is a reason why the Japanese are the best at making cheap cars. What can Apple do? Make some 100,000 dollar cars that no one will buy?

I don't doubt Apple in general, but thinking they can be a viable car company without any experience or a partner is moronic.
