BMW Begins Deliveries of 335i Sedan!

Logical, will this be cheaper than the coupe and how will acceleration be effected?

I'm assuming the price will be cheaper since BMW places a premium on their coupe and it might be a bit slower too.

You BMW lovers have to thank Infiniti for his car. Do you think BMW would have produced this pre-G35? I can answer that for you, NO!

Wat a lexus fan will say " its coz of the IS350." wat a infiniti fan will say " its coz of the G35."

G35Lover.........BMW isn't taking any tips from Infiniti, get a clue. The G35 (and the IS for the matter) only came about because BMW ruled the small sport sedan market, and continues to set the benchmark.

If it's anything like the previous generation 330's it will actually be slightly faster and handle better. The 330i has almost a perfect 50/50 (something like 49.8 / 50.2) distrobution whereas the 330Ci is offset more. Also they had to do some reinforcements on the Ci and convertible because of no middle pillar.

So I'd put my money on the 335i performing slightly better than the 335Ci (btw, did they keep the C in this model go around?)

People!!! BMW does this all the time with the introduction of a new model, and the year after they introduce them again with bigger engines. Just look at the history.

Says what you like, but BMW has never felt competition like this in the past. Think of the choices you Vehicles and engines you had pre-G35.
It's due in part to the G-35, that BMW is force 1. to offer more value in it's products (more standard equipment) 2. Increase the HP in it's entry level models.

You BMW and Lexus lovers should send Infiniti thank you letters. I will get you their mailing address:)

the concept of the sports sedan would not have even been around if it was not for BMW in the 70s. Every other SS uses the 3 as the benchmark and is never as good.

G35lover what is your point? BMW is never playing a catch up game, in fact they are upping the ante on their cars unlike tha competition. Yea competition is on this segment is like never before, but 3er is tha king of tha road no matter what youre suggesting.

I was at the dealer today and saw it in person, its a thing of beauty.

It will be cheaper and slower than the coupe.

Not much cheaper, maybe $1500-2K lower base price and 0-60 in 5.2 insteaf od the 335i coupe's 4.9

Will, 335i is here to cut tha segment between 330i and up comin M3, not because of IS350.

My BMW dealer is taking orders now for delivery in 8 weeks.

The 335i sedan is $1800 more expensive than a 2006 330i sedan.

The 330i will be sold until the end of the model year (2006) and after that the turbo six will make its way into the 5-series (528i, 528xi, 535i, 550i)

All 2007 3 sedans will be 328i, 328xi, 335i. There is no option of a 335xi at this point but it could happen eventually.

how much of a price jump is the 328i and did they change anything on it (hopfully those stock rims). Exhust?

I thought it would look different. In the spy shots, it looked to have a more agressive bodykit. M package? Maybe.

It'll be on my short list for my 2008 winter car, though.

It looks nice and is fast. I like it, but i will wait for the 08 Audi A4, then i will make a choice.

The 330i was already beating out all of it's competitors, and is still considered the one to beat. Throw an extra 50 hp and two turbos in the mix, and nobody's taking the 3-series place any time soon!

Car's only flaw is the rear-end as usual...

All i can say is you need to drive this car!!!!! It is amazing fast as can be...tight,true this car is untouchable....

BMW has had turbos before. The M3 engine is too expensive to put it into "everyday" BMW's and it would dilute the meaning of the "M" brand anyway to put it into a "normal" BMW. No way BMW is going to just stick it in a non-M. It's also peaky, a gas guzzler, and not the type of power delivery most 3-series buyers would want for their everyday car. If they did they'd buy the M in the first place. As it is the new 335i is virtally just as fast as the current M3 and is much more comfortable and livable day to day. For around town driving it's actually faster, the low end on it is incredible.

Audi needs to bump its HP now. They will get left in the dust. Which is sad because I like thier products.

These BMW's are getting better and better, WOW!

it was the old e23 model (77 to 87)
it was continental europe left hand drive markets only.
it had a 3.2 tt, then it was a 3.5 tt.
americans weren't fans of turbos then, prefered 5.3 v8s with like 200 hp.

I know infinity fans have to stick up for infinity and Lexus fans have to stick up for Lexus. (I don’t know why they have fans personally) BMW did not engineer a whole new engine just because the new Infinity came out. It takes a long time to design a whole new engine. BMW Always does this. 1999 the 328ci was out then in 2002 the 330ci came out and now in 2006 the 330 is gone being replaced with the 335. Just look to the past for your answers.

Anyway, if you drive all three of them the 335 is more solid, capable and more fast then the rest. If only infinity could make there cars look less cheap and Lexus could build a suspension more fitting of a sports sedan. They might actually compete.
