Audi's February 2015 Global Sales Rise 4.2% - Maintains Top Global Spot Due to Strong Chinese Demand
Around 122,550 deliveries worldwide in the month – up 4.2 percent

Sales chief Luca de Meo: “New A6 generation with strong performance in the full-size class”

50th consecutive record-breaking month for Audi in the United States

AUDI AG continues to grow: despite the model changeover for the A1* and Q3* in Europe and a shortened sales month in China, the company exceeded prior-year sales in February. Around 122,550 customers opted for the four rings last month, up 4.2 percent. Strong growth was achieved with the now globally available A3 family* (+47.4%) and the latest generation of the A6* (+10.8%). The article doesn't say it anywhere, but Audi has outsold Mercedes-Benz globally YTD. Therefore, for the two companies that have reported (Mercedes-Benz and Audi), Audi maintains the global sales lead.

LOL that and Audi barely outsold Benz globally by less than 2,500 units, Audi better hang on to China with everything they have because once Benz or Bimmer gets a better grip on it, the game is essentially over for Audi

But Congrats Audi, just atleast get a FULL YEAR under your belt as a global sales leader before pumping that chest out.

Benz had atleast half a century at #1 and Bimmer had a decade...

There is enough buyers for everyone to make sales. No need for the such and such is going to do this and that and takeover. All will continue to sell well and we will continue to benefit as buyers.

Right now I'm a huge Audi fan and my next ride will be another one unless the Porches Cayman GT4 proves me wrong. Congrats to Audi and Benz for positive numbers so far.

That's cute and fine and dandy, but once you OWN shares of stocks in particular auto companies, you too, will be concerned about sales and market share.

Mercedes and BMW are the last 2 independently owned and operated luxury Marques, so Ive got a ton of respect for their ability to survive, sale, grow, and adapt to everchanging markets without Big Mass Market Brothers like Toyota, Volkswagen, GM, Honda, Nissan, or Ford to carry their weight or share parts with.

Lol, clearly you know nothing about Rover, or the meaning of the word "wreck". You're almost right though, BMW couldn't polish that particular turd, cut their losses and left with the MINI marque (already out performing Rover in terms of volumes and profitability), a Range Rover supply deal and know-how for the first gen X5.

Cyberlancer if you look at every massively successful company in existence you will find many wrinkles, falls, and mistakes along their journey.

Take the most valuable company in the world right now, Apple, less than 2 decades ago they were on the verge of bankruptcy and it took a 150 million dollar investment from Microsoft to save them.

Its not how you start, or how fall down you fall, it's how you finish and whether or not you have the ability to recover from the fall.

Again, hats off to Bimmer and Benz

Do you know how old that shite is man? This is 2015, not 1994 or 1998. What you're saying is completely matterless now.
