2016 Chevrolet Camaro rendered by an enthusiast
The highly-anticipated sixth-generation 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is expected to be unveiled this year in the USA. Camaro enthusiast “spratleyea” from Camaro6 forums details in a rendering, how the next-generation model could possibly look.

The all-new model would retain its outline but get more aggressive and aerodynamic styling. The rear wheel drive Alpha platform used in the Cadillac ATS and the Cadillac CTS would form the basis for this comprehensively updated model, which is also expected to shed weight.

The Performance Data Recorder which has its availability limited to the Corvette and the Cadillac ATS-V and the Cadillac CTS-V, would also be introduced on the 2016 Camaro, while interior quality, fit and finish are expected to be much better than the current gen, say reports.

The engine line-up likely to be offered would be new and existing (but revised) naturally aspirated and supercharged V6/V8 engines. The 2.0-liter I4 LTG turbocharged gasoline engine is also expected to be offered, to compete with the 2015 Ford Mustang 2.3-liter EcoBoost.

I hate to say I hope not… but I hope not. I like the idea to lighten it, advance the whole car technically, but if that is the final design, Ford is going to be doing even more pony car/muscle car business. Ford has done a nice job of bringing the Mustang along with a lot of imaginative touches from the headlights and tail lights to the new swoopy and trim tail design.

That is laughably bad.

That's awful. Like a Scion and a Camaro had a baby....and not a cute one.

The New Mustang is a better Aston Martin than Aston Martin. Better looking(I know this sound crazy. but Aston has gotten way too soft in the looks dept and trying to be too pretty) This Camaro is a step backwards if they go this way. Id like to see a more evolution to what the 2nd gen camaro was. Still the camaro should be a 4 seater vette IMHO. Not keen on the current camaro either. Not a fan of retro.

Sixth generation? I'm glad to see that Chevrolet is saving money by putting zero effort into this "highly anticipated" new model.

So all it is is the front bumper of the 2010 Kia Forte Koup and Kia Provo's headlights.
