GUESS Which All-New BMW Models Will NOT Be Making It To The States...
BMW has decided not to bring either of its new 2-series front-wheel-drive models to the United States.

The 2-series Gran Tourer, which debuted here last week, and the 2-series Active Tourer are too small for the U.S. market, a spokesman said.

BMW says the Gran Tourer, at 179 inches, is not long enough for a minivan with three rows of seats. The Active Tourer wagon is 171 inches long.

BMW has a reputation to defend in North America, where they're perceived as pedigreed premium vehicles that command instant recognition and admiration (from many), and who deserve a lofty price tag. It's harder to do that when your M3 is sitting beside a FWD minivan, and both share the same badge.

looks like the article says the FWD version won't come to the US but does not say the AWD version won't be coming
