Tesla Model X Caught Testing - Is THIS What You Hoped For?

At long last, somebody managed to capture a mildly disguised 2017 Tesla Model X. Youtube user nbkagzw13 uploaded the adjacent video, claiming that the near production-ready mule has been filmed “in Palo Alto,” Tesla’s home.

Considering that the headquarters are located roughly 25 miles from Tesla Motors’ Fremont factory, the place of the spotting does make sense, so we’re not doubting the what nbkagzw13 is telling us. In addition to this, you may remember that Fremont is gearing up for 2017 Tesla Model X production.

Kudos to Tesla for making what appears to be functional, practical, well-built EVs with a decent range.

I'm not into EVs. I recently went the route of the stylish Audi Q5 3.0 TDI, which gets better fuel economy than their 2 litre gas engine and their hybrid. I'm still waiting for delivery.

Its either the upcoming Tesla X, or the new "X-6" clone - Hyundai Sante-Fe "Sportbak".

Tesla's subdued styling is, to my eyes, looking more and more like a generic Japanese/Korean compact vanilla-mobile. Though I liked it at launch, the Tesla Model S is now starting to channel more Honda Accord "Cross-Tour" than it should.

That opening 3/4 shot bears a resemblance to a mid 1950's Henry J., a product of the Kaiser Corp, if taken from the same angle. I echo The Steve; not my taste as enjoying a 15 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Diesel. Great fuel economy, no CO2, and many lux features. Never have range anxiety.

Not a fan of the exterior but this is a camouflaged prototype after all. I have a feeling the interior is where this baby is going to really shine.
