BBC Fires Jeremy Clarkson And Cancels Top Gear Season - Criminal Charges May Follow

Petrolheads all over, ladies and gents that enjoyed Top Gear's "ambitious but rubbish" take on all things automotive, it pains us to announce that Jeremy Clarkson calls it quits in his column in The Sun.

In a piece titled "So we lose the tiger... but gain acid-spit snail," Jeremy Clarkson talks about nature's battle against extinction and the future of the Top Gear trio. Without further ado, this is how Jezza broke the silence in his most recent column for the tabloid:

"I THINK it’s fair to say that nature made a mistake when it invented the dinosaur. It was too big, too violent and with such small and puny arms it was never going to be able to operate heavy machinery or even enjoy a bit of special “me” time." Pretty easy to understand, but we haven't even got to the most tear-jearking part yet.

Who knew Top Gear had more drama than the housewives franchise...anyway I hope the trio somehow stick together and start a new, there was something so different, entertaining, and special about their chemistry on-air.

I know Mercedes is pissed as that was one of the shows biggest advertisers, likewise I'm sure BBC will hate losing that check next month...we shall see what happens down the line.

Agree on the chenistry. That's what made the show the hoot is is. There was a genuine sense that those guys hung out and pranked each other off-camera on their own time... even if it didn't really happen. The dynamic was palpable and and that's hard to replicate... just look at the awful U.S. version as proof.

That's really bad news for us enthusiasts; Let's hope some BBc's rival hire the three of them (Clakson,May, and Hammond, as May and Hammond refuse to continue filming Top Gear without Jeremy Clarkson) and start a new show! Fingers crossed here!

You don't get a feel that Clarkson is a very nice guy to many and that's a nice way of putting it but he made Top Gear and there is no way the show makes sense anymore without him. It's hard to see someone replacing and the show still working and that's if the other two guys want to even bother anymore.

You guys are all missing something here. The fact is that Clarkson, himself, reported this to the BBC. Clarkson is a celebrity. Celebrities can usually keep things quiet if they want to. Just look at the Bill Cosby issues. It only came out in the past 6 months of his indiscretions with all of those women well past the zenith of his career. Jeremy could have easily made a deal with Oisin and his attorney to keep things quiet for a decent payout. The fact that he chose instead to notify the BBC of his actions says a lot. My speculation is this. Jeremy wanted out. He must have had long discussions with James and Richard prior to his informing the BBC. Why would he want out? Well he is going through a divorce, His mother recently died, and he has some physical or medical issues that he has to deal with. I don't think he planned on loosing it with Oisin. However since it happened it made it easier to go through with this. Clearly he was aware that the BBC would have no choice but to fire him as they were backed into a corner. This avoids him agenizing over whether he would agree to be stuck in another 3 year contract.
