Toyota CEO Confesses That He Feared Recalls Would Cut His Career Short
Toyota Motor Corp. chief Akio Toyoda undoubtedly wishes his company’s unintended-acceleration crisis never happened.

But in a rare moment of public reflection on that period, he credited the worldwide upheaval as the turning point in his career, even as he fretted about being fired from the CEO suite.

“I was resigned to the possibility my presidency could end soon, making my tenure as president a very short one,” said Toyoda, who had been in office for less than a year at the time.

“I felt I wouldn’t last another year as president,” he said.

Toyota's CEO shouldn't have nothing to worrry about. Now, Nintendo's CEO Iwata that's the CEO that should be fired. What a moron making the Wii U a little bit more powerful than the PS3 and 360 KNOWing that back in 2008 hen the Wii U was in R&D, Sony and Microsoft was coming out with way more powerful consoles as well. But dumb Iwata thought a system a little bit more powerful than a last generation would be wise. That's why Wii U sales suck today. At least Toyota's CEO sees what's going on unlike Nintendo's dumb CEO. And Nintendo thought that an 8gig console for storage would be enough for 2015...give me a break.

He also wanted to make the Wii U more affordable than the PS4. Cheaper alone is always better, unless the games are compelling enough.
