Scion xA and xB to be Replaced Spring 2007
"Scion To Launch Two New Models
Scion, from Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A. Inc., will launch two new vehicles in spring 2007 to replace current generation xA and xB.

"The xA and xB will always be very special models for us and have contributed greatly to Scion's success, but we're ready to move into our next product phase," said Mark Templin, vice president, Scion. "Scion is a laboratory for change and we will continue to experiment and evolve to meet the needs of our customers."

xA and xB launched in California in June 2003 and completed their nationwide rollout in June 2004. Since their launch 72,011 xA's and 139,091 xB's have been sold nationwide through July 2006.

Production of the 2006 xA and xB will conclude in December of this year. The two all-new vehicles will be designated as 2008 models when they arrive at Scion dealerships next year."

they need to do what every other car company is doing and make a beefy model. Something with a V6 or a inline 4 turbo. Its about damn time.

wow for the mass advertising and low starting cost you would think they sold alot more than aprox. 250,000 combined. pt cruisers only been out 2 years longer and has sold 4 times that many models. also i think the TCi looks really cool in print but is chincy and tacky irl. i loved this car when it first came out untill i drove one and it felt like a saturn with a diff rear windshield

Chewy, of course they're outdated, hence, they're getting replaced.

Silverarrow, exaclty what quality issue would that be? The only recall I know of was from glass shattering when hit by rocks, go figure.

gearguru, you can get a supercharger for the tC.

bigslick, there's actually no "mass" marketing. It's a niche brnad that for its first year was only available in a couple states. Scion sold about 20,000 last month, sales have risen for each car almost every month. Ford sells more F-150's, Scion must be a failure. Riiightttt....

1970toyotamarc I know you can buy a supercharger for the TC and have one fitted for the XB however im talking about a dealer tuner. There’s nothing like having a little bit of tuner with a warranty to back it up you know?

gearguru the TCi is a supercharged version of the TC im pretty sure, so it should be a coverd part under warenty.

what i mean by mass marketing is that they are in every magazine, they have lots of commercials, and they are on billboards everywhere, at least here in the midwest. and not to say they are a failure but they did not sell alot of cars. thats the truth, sorry.
