DRIVEN + VIDEO: BEHIND The Scenes — This Is How Audi Finalizes R&D In The All-New Audi Q7 In The Desert
One of the most important all-new vehicles for Audi is the all-new Q7. As of now it's received what I'd describe as a mixed reception.
A part of it has to do with its looks and a part of it has to do with its technology. The fashionistas are saying it doesn't look all that great and the techno-geeks are having a lovefest as this Audi is expected to bring it's "A" game to the luxury sport-utility vehicle space.
Having just seen the all-new Q7 in a dark grey at the 2015 New York Auto Show, I think it looks like a "C+" or a "B," and I am intrigued by its technology. But I won't
really
know if it's a great product until I get behind the wheel.
One such publication abroad had the chance to actually do so as Audi is in the process of wrapping up its developmental testing of its pre-production vehicles. Basically what you're seeing are production models being finalized.
That said, check out the clip below and learn just how Audi has improved the all-new Q7. Let us know if it sounds promising...

[yawn] ... How can the same company that puts so much thought and effort into on-board electronics - and industry leading interiors - totally drop the ball on exterior styling? This is a big fail.

Just look at BMW if you want to criticize an automaker for hideous-looking SUVs. Its X4, 5-Series Gran Turismo and X6 look awful. The sales of each model (less so the X6) are terrible and the interiors are cheap, filled with plastic and much lower quality than Audi's.
