Cummins Diesel Orders Repair Shop To Remove Logo Over Anti Gay Stance

A Fortune 500 company that fought Indiana's religious freedom law is telling a Grandville auto shop owner his business must stop using its logo following the Michigan man's anti-gay Facebook post.

Engine manufacturer Cummins said on social media Thursday that it is in the process of notifying Dieseltec to stop using its logo on the repair shop's website.

Dieseltec owner Brian Klawiter announced this week via a Facebook post on the business' page that he wouldn't hesitate to deny service to openly gay people. Among other things - like dishonesty and thievery - he said open displays of homosexuality are not welcome. He strives to run his business with Christian values and "homosexuality is wrong," he said.

009 - only two more years and Obama will leave office. These liberals are just killing you doesn't it :-) Let me guess, Cummins Diesel is very much a company that Autospies normally pays attention to because we Americans buy so much diesel cars so it deserve a spot on today's Autospies :-)

Discrimination is a crime no matter how you justify your stance.

ISIS makes the same justification in their atrocious motives just like this individual does with his.

Agreed! Time to stop the bigotry once and for all. If you can't take the gays, the blacks, the jews or whoever, then f go to Sudan or deep in Siberia to live with Putin and let us continue building the best country there is!

Article: "...He strives to run his business with Christian values and "homosexuality is wrong," he said..."

Each of us has a thought system made up of our beliefs, assumptions, opinions, and understandings. The nature of thought systems is regardless of what the individual believes, they'll interpret incoming information in a way that's consistent with their thought system.

That's why one Christian refers to The Bible and summarizes the message to be one of love, goodwill, inclusion, non-aggression ("turn the other cheek") and so forth, while another summarizes the message to be one of contempt for non-believers, hatred towards non-conformist, and heaven is reserved only for people like us. Don't blame The Bible, the religion, or their god. Blame the individual for being hateful and bigoted, and not being accountable for who they are (hey, GOD hates gays; I didn't make up the rules). If someone's a white supremacist, it really doesn't matter if they're a theist or atheists. We know what we're dealing with. Their justification is inconsequential.

@TheSteve - Thanks for calling it what it is. You can believe what you want (your right in this country) but don't hide behind religion causes.

"You can believe what you want" CORRECT 009, just don't force it behind auto enthusiast causes.

How would you feel if an automaker decided not to sell you a vehicle because of your beliefs, race, ethic heritage?

What if an ethusiast brand or shop advertised we serve only ethnic Jews?
Whites only?
No Puerto Ricans?

You get the idea.

009, you have a definite skill for stretching things, and the response above epitomizes that. At some point, you become a joke.

DieselTec's owner feels his rights are being trampled on for not being able to discriminate against some people he disagrees with. I think Cummins ( still on his web site btw) Ford, Dodge etc... Also have every right not to have their brand sullied by this company and not allow him to use their copyright logos. All are on the website...

" ...I will put your vehicle together with all bolts and no nuts... "

Future customers should be warned that this shop will deliberately sabotage your vehicle if the owner disagrees with your opinions.

Any manufacturer who has paid this shop for warranty work should have the work inspected and sue his shop for the expense.

Anyone who has ever had any work done at this shop should do the same.
